Harmon Drive Mailbag :: White Pines

Noises heard from the roads, sounds from joyful throats

I was happy to find an email from White Pines this past week in my inbox. White Pines is the solo project of Michigan based indie-folk artist Joseph Scott, who has recently released an EP titled Face Made of Wood. Joseph is an honest songwriter that pours out his heart and is not afraid to lay it all on the table, the more I listen to him the more I am captivated. In 2009 White Pines toured the east coast and Canada with one of my favorite bands Cotton Jones. White Pines has played in festivals including Monolith, Folk Yeah and Austin City Limits. This is a perfect, mellow song for the winter.

    HD,

    HELL YYYYYEEEEESSSSSSS.

I needed some good folk today. Something about the sound of this band that just brightened my day.

    Keep on rocking White Pines
